It’s a slower kind of summer in Como.
While day-trippers bustle along the lakeside promenade and ferries crisscross between towns, there’s a rhythm here that’s more local, quieter, and more deliberate. Mornings begin with the clink of porcelain at the neighbourhood bar, a gelato and a quick espresso taken standing. By midday, shutters are drawn and conversations soften to whispers under olive trees. The lake glimmers, still and heavy in the heat.
For the Reverie collection, we spent a few easy days here. The collection leans into the ease of summer dressing: linen suits and shirts, polos, and pleated shorts cut just wide enough to feel like nothing at all. Pieces designed for slipping into the day, and drifting easily through it.

Riva Gelateria
Afternoon light slipped across the lake as people drifted in and out of Riva Gelateria, a small homemade gelato shop known for its generous portions and wide range of flavours. Pistachio and fig seemed to be favourites, handed out in tall scoops that softened quickly in the sun. A nearby bench made the perfect spot to sit, melt into the warmth, and watch the day unfold without a rush.

Nesso
Nesso came next, a quiet village just beyond Como, where time feels suspended. Narrow stone alleys led down to a centuries-old bridge and a waterfall that echoed through the hills. Fewer people meant more stillness, more space to notice the way the leaves had started to turn.
The in-between season is made for clothes that adapt easily. Reverie 2025 does just that. With soft linens, organic cotton, and fluid tailoring, the collection carries the feeling of late summer slipping into early autumn. Each piece is made to move, to breathe, to feel right in a place like this.

Crotto del Sergente
Evening settled in at Crotto del Sergente, a hillside restaurant that felt both familiar and special. The food was seasonal and simple: polenta, slow-cooked beef, fresh greens. Nothing too elaborate, just good ingredients handled with care. The same could be said for the clothes: thoughtful construction, intentional fabrics, and an ease that suits the slower rhythm of these in-between months. A quiet close to a day shaped by small, steady pleasures.
